Job summary

Florida Bar Foundation seeks a Director of Compliance to lead a comprehensive regulatory program across U.S. federal and state travel regulations and international regimes in the EU, UK, Canada, and beyond.

The role reports to the Chief Legal Officer and interfaces with the Global President to align compliance with global strategy. The candidate will oversee governance around booking, ticketing, payments, accessibility, and consumer-protection practices, ensuring alignment with evolving

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of progressive compliance experience, preferably in travel, hospitality, airline, or e-commerce.
• Experience with GDPR/UK GDPR, PIPEDA, and Mexican data protection law strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS and accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG).
• Ability to translate regulatory text into booking flow, policy, and disclosures.
• Excellent communication with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization-wide compliance program across U.S. federal, state, local, and international requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and a regulatory risk matrix by jurisdiction and business line.
• Oversee auditing, monitoring, and reporting to executives and the board.
• Provide training for reservations, marketing, customer service, and product teams on travel compliance.
• Partner with Legal, IT, Privacy, Marketing, and Product to ensure compliant product launches and campaigns.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel and regulatory consultants.
