Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Transportation Operations Specialist for on-site work in the Henderson/Las Vegas area. You will manage workflows, coordinate with customers, 3PLs, and carriers to meet KPIs and OTIF targets, and drive performance across hubs and spokes.

You will resolve operational issues, optimize transportation methods, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure cost-efficient, timely shipments while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, and/or transportation.
• Solid experience with logistics software and systems (ERP, TMS, WMS).
• Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and issue-resolution skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to triage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard operational workflows to manage the flow of goods and materials by coordinating with customers, 3PLs, carriers, and warehouses to meet KPIs and OKRs (e.g., OTIF).
• Identify and resolve operational issues impacting customer satisfaction and improve overall experience.
• Arrange transportation for shipments considering cost, transit time, and mode; handle escalations.
• Drive carrier and service provider performance for Hub and Spoke locations.
• Execute transportation management for warehouse inbound/outbound activities and capacity management.
• Provide data analytics to improve transportation operational efficiency for assigned locations.
• Coordinate with multiple parties to resolve delivery issues and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as a primary contact for internal departments, external vendors, and customers regarding logistics inquiries.
