Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Transportation Compliance Specialist to join our Transportation Compliance team. This role ensures that transportation activities across highway, rail, vessel, and air comply with all applicable regulations.

The specialist provides technical guidance, regulatory expertise, and compliance support across the organization. The ideal candidate will partner with operations, safety, environmental, legal, and leadership teams, manage investigations, audits, and training

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of transportation compliance, regulatory compliance, environmental compliance, or related experience.
• Valid driver's license and passport or ability to obtain one.
• Strong working knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance on transportation compliance matters to field operations, sales teams, facilities, and training departments.
• Interpret and implement transportation policies and procedures with coordinators and leadership.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on federal, state, provincial, and company transportation regulations.
