Job summary

Wesco is seeking an Analyst - Transportation to provide analytical support across small package, LTL, private fleet, international, and other modes. You will coordinate global shipment execution, support regulatory compliance, and develop reporting to improve visibility and decision-making across North America, Europe, and beyond.

The role emphasizes LEAN initiatives, export documentation accuracy, and collaboration with internal teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required.
• Associates’ Degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) preferred.
• 2 years required of transportation, customs, logistics or supply chain.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, and OneNote).
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated.
• Strong computer skills (SharePoint, Transportation & customs-specific systems).
• Knowledge of Tariff Classification.
• Knowledge of international shipping terms (Incoterms) and export transportation processes preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and communicating across global teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across diverse cultures and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, and administer national programs for specific modes, including small package, LTL, private fleet, dedicated, international, courier, truckload, rail and expedited.
• Coordinate international shipment execution with global warehouses across regions.
• Provide customer service to internal and external inquiries.
• Analyze and improve mode-specific service and expense metrics.
• Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly management reporting for transportation visibility.
• Analyze transportation or supply chain initiatives.
• Participate in LEAN initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory compliance at branches and distribution centers.
• Ensure dangerous goods policies meet laws and train employees.
• Analyze shipments for export compliance and documentation accuracy; coordinate shipment execution and tracking.
• Coach warehouse personnel on export preparation and shipment readiness.
• May manage self-clearance customs process and prepare entries.
• Assist with FTAs and origin certificates.
• Assist with new customs initiatives or projects.
• Build collaborative relationships with global partners across time zones.
