Job summary

Applied Materials, based in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced Transitions Project Manager to oversee supplier transitions, site moves, dual-sourcing and supplier integration. The role is onsite in Austin and requires proactive coordination with cross-functional teams to protect continuity of supply.

The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, cross-functional project management experience, and advanced Excel with familiarity in Tableau/Power BI or SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field is required.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data visualization) are required.
• Experience with cross-functional project management in a global organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Manage supplier transitions from scoping through qualification, implementation and closure, tracking milestones and risks.
• Supplier Qualification: Coordinate site and part qualification plans with engineering and quality teams; track findings to closure.
• Change Management: Manage supplier notifications and ensure changes meet process requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead teams across Design Engineering, Supplier Engineering, Quality and Materials.
• Analytics & Reporting: Analyze data to identify trends and produce status/risk reports for decisions.
