Job summary

Fish & Richardson P.C. in Boston seeks a Trademark Paralegal to support the trademark team with filing and maintenance of U.S. and Madrid filings, coordinate with foreign associates, and handle related projects.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, TTAB/copyright/UDRP familiarity, and ability to meet 1300-hour billing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Trademark Paralegal (or similar equivalent experience) with both U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution.
• Familiarity with TTAB proceedings, copyright filings and UDRP actions.
• Experience with worldwide trademark laws and procedures, including WIPO filings.
• Ability to meet the paralegal 1300 hour billing metric.
• Trained in conducting preliminary trademark searches.
• Ability to work in the office 3 days per month is required

Responsibilities

• Preparing and filing documents required in the prosecution and maintenance of U.S. trademarks, using the U.S. PTO’s ETEAS filing system.
• Preparing and filing documents required in the prosecution and maintenance of Madrid-based filings with WIPO
• Communicating with clients regarding requirements for filing applications, maintaining trademarks, and reviewing evidence of use required in connection with these trademark documents
• Corresponding directly with foreign associates on routine trademark prosecution, opposition, cancellation, and/or maintenance
• Handling or assisting on special projects as assigned, including copyright applications, customs recordation, UDRP actions, client website review and domain name registration
