Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Specialist, Global Trade (Hybrid) to join our Rockford, IL / Windsor Locks, CT / Phoenix, AZ locations with a remote option. You will develop export authorization strategies, prepare license applications, and ensure ITAR/EAR compliance across programs.

You will collaborate with program teams, interpret U.S. trade regulations, and support training and process improvements to mitigate risk and enable compliant international activities.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience researching and/or applying ITAR and EAR regulations
• Experience applying for, managing, and transacting against ITAR and EAR export authorizations
• Experience with DECCS, SNAP-R, SAP-GT, OCR EASE or similar Global Trade tools and/or systems

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of export authorization strategies for international activities.
• Prepare and submit export/import license applications, agreements, eligible exemptions/exceptions and other requests for USG approval.
• Provide export/import authorization status updates to leadership and capture/program teams
• Participate in strategic business engagement at the program level to ensure business execution, growth and compliance.
• Provide consistent interpretation of ITAR and EAR to Power and Controls business.
• Facilitate approvals for the export/import of hardware and other activities involving controlled goods.
• Determine appropriate export authority, exemption, or exception with stakeholders.
• Assist in implementing company procedures to support compliance with export/import regulations.
• Participate in compliance assessments and investigations.
• Develop and deliver training for employees engaged in international business activities.
• Review and approve information prior to release to non-U.S. Persons
