Job summary

Superior Foods, Inc. is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to oversee import/export regulatory compliance across the supply chain. The role involves securing essential documentation, coordinating with customs brokers, suppliers, and carriers, and proactively identifying discrepancies to prevent disruptions.

Key duties include ISF filing, HTS/FDA code classifications, and audits of import transactions. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in a related field and 2+ years in trade compliance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience in customs or trade compliance.
• Intermediate working knowledge of US Import Regulations and Requirements.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations and policies.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred.
• Experience with C-TPAT, FSMA, and related trade regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regulatory compliance throughout import/export processes and manage documentation.
• Assist with ISF filing, review forms, and ensure timely submission.
• Classify HTS codes and FDA product codes as required for customs.
• Audit transactions for compliance risks and support corrective actions.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, suppliers, and ocean lines to resolve issues.
• Monitor and report supplier performance metrics and trade policy updates.
