Covestro in Pittsburgh seeks a Trade & Compliance professional to develop and implement U.S. import compliance processes and manage related risks.

You will oversee post-entry reviews, Certificates of Origin, data reporting in ACE/CTPAT, and coordination with brokers.

Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in international trade compliance.
Experience with U.S. import compliance and foreign trade regulations.
Ability to educate and train team members.

Oversee import courier shipment compliance, monitoring, post-entry reviews and broker coordination.
Develop and conduct internal controls and training for U.S. import compliance.
Manage USMCA Certificates of Origin and data input in CTPAT and Canadian NRI processes.
Support U.S. import post-entry reviews and timely filing with U.S. Customs via broker coordination.
Handle trade compliance inquiries and respond to transactional exceptions.
Prepare periodic compliance reports using ACE or analytics tools and manage duty payment programs.
Document desk procedures for Trade & Compliance requirements.
Address inquiries about tariffs, antidumping, valuation and other import compliance matters.
Maintain Import Policy docs, FTZ procedures and workflow diagrams.
Implement new U.S. import and FTZ procedures aligned with policy.
Gather documents and respond to CBP Requests for Information and Notices.
Manage bonds for import business and duty drawback with broker and surety.
