Job summary

Okuma America Corporation is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support import/export compliance programs, ensuring regulatory alignment and efficient movement of products. The role emphasizes classification, documentation, and cross-functional training for risk minimization and customer service excellence.

The position also supports QMS activities, ISO training, and Kaizen initiatives while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence in the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, international trade, engineering, or related field.
• Experience supporting import/export operations, customs compliance, or related business functions.
• Proficiency with HTSUS, Schedule B classifications, EAR, ITAR, and related trade regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support import/export compliance programs including classification, documentation, and recordkeeping.
• Classify products using HTS, ECCN, Schedule B, and other applicable trade requirements.
• Collaborate with customs brokers and internal teams to move goods compliantly and efficiently.
• Monitor regulatory changes and train employees on import/export processes.
