Job summary

Dedicated Computing LLC in Wisconsin is seeking an International Trade Compliance Specialist to own and advance the company’s global trade program, including imports, exports, HTS/Schedule B classifications, and export controls.

You will work with Logistics, Engineering, Finance, and external partners to implement robust controls, manage the FTZ, and ensure regulatory compliance across DC’s hardware platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, international business, logistics, engineering, finance, operations, or a related field (equivalent relevant experience may be considered).
• Five or more years of experience in import/export operations, customs compliance, export controls, international logistics, or international trade compliance.
• Experience with electronics, computer hardware, semiconductors, or other complex manufacturing environments with internationally sourced components.
• Working knowledge of HTS and Schedule B classification, ECCN classification, customs valuation, country-of-origin determinations, and related documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical product information, complex BOMs, manufacturing processes, and software or encryption functionality.
• Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, customers, and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a risk-based international trade compliance program covering procedures, responsibilities, training, controls, recordkeeping, audits, corrective action, escalation, and disclosure.
• Conduct annual trade-compliance risk assessments and report findings and resource needs to leadership.
• Serve as business owner for HTS, Schedule B, ECCN, country of origin, license requirements, sanctions results, and related master data in ERP and systems.
• Establish trade-compliance reviews in new-product introductions, engineering changes, supplier changes, and new-country approvals.
• Develop backup coverage and current desk procedures for time-sensitive import, export, screening, and FTZ activities.
• Own compliant importation of components and finished goods; review documentation, valuation, country of origin, and tariff treatment.
• Maintain ECCN/EAR99 classifications and determine export authorization; prepare license applications and track usage.
• Oversee AES/ACE filings, exemptions, and recordkeeping; ensure proper governance for FTZ operations.
• Own OFAC sanctions screening, denied-party checks, and export-control screening across parties; escalate and document findings.
• Ensure origin and export controls considerations are integrated into purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing decisions.
