Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple manufacturing facilities and standardize processes for compliant results. You will handle large datasets from various sourcing locations and report to the Sr. Manager of Trade Compliance and Data Analytics.

This onsite role requires travel up to 15% across North America to sister-company sites. You will work as a key SME among 18+ sites, manage broker relations, review HTS codes, and support FTAs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in International Affairs/Trade, International Business, Logistics, or related field.
• 7+ years of Trade Compliance experience.
• Hands-on MS Excel with v-lookups and Pivot Tables.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Willing to travel up to 15% in North America.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact between 18+ sites.
• Manage relationships with customs brokers and conduct broker audits.
• Process requests from customers, suppliers, brokers, and customs authorities.
• Review and update HTS codes for all products.
• Support Free Trade Agreements and country-of-origin data collection.
• Track and declare Assists or Value Reconciliation to customs authorities.
• Apply knowledge of customs regulations across US, Canada, and Mexico.
• Leverage FTAs such as USMCA and KORUS.
• Stay current on China Section 301 tariffs and duty programs.
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to determine FT commerce decisions.
