Job summary

Toyota's Customs and Trade Compliance team in Plano, TX is seeking a Consultant to coordinate export technology determinations and import classifications across major R&D, collaboration, and manufacturing projects.

The role requires subject matter expertise in federal import/export regulations, strong project management, and the ability to work with government agencies and internal stakeholders. A bachelor's degree and Toyota experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise in federal regulations for import/export.
• Knowledge of government compliance processes and classifications.
• Strong leadership and communication across internal/external stakeholders.
• 5 years industry experience or 3+ years Toyota experience.
• Proven project management and timely deliverables.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead export control coordination and import classification for major projects.
• Coordinate Declarations of Conformity, Specific Authorizations, and government communications.
• Manage New Model Preparation with HTS/ECCN considerations.
• Kaizen Annual Export Control Technology Review and process improvements.
• Monitor import/export regulations and update compliance practices.
• Support Trade Research systems and GTM interfaces.
