RRC Solutions Group invites applications for an International Trade Associate Attorney – Mid-Level in Washington, D.C. This role focuses on U.S. export controls, tariffs, customs law, and CFIUS matters within a collaborative, AmLaw 50 environment.

The successful candidate will have a DC bar, 2–3+ years of international trade experience, and strong writing and analytical skills, with Mandarin a plus. Hybrid work arrangement offered with partner teams across offices.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in the District of Columbia, in good standing.
• 2/3+ years of substantive experience in international trade law.
• Experience with BIS, DDTC, OFAC, and customs matters is preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on export controls, customs law, tariffs, and CFIUS reviews.
• Assist with compliance by BIS, DDTC, CBP, and OFAC.
• Analyze customs matters including entry, classification, and valuation.
• Support antidumping, countervailing duty, and safeguard matters.
• Conduct legal/regulatory research and draft guidance for clients.
• Prepare memoranda, submissions, and client communications.
• Collaborate across practices on cross-border matters.
• Monitor developments in international trade and advise on impacts.
