Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to support USMCA, Buy America, and related trade programs. The role focuses on data collection, HTS classification, and supplier-origin documentation to enable cost savings and regulatory compliance.

The analyst will collaborate with logistics, sourcing, and legal teams, perform data analysis for duty refunds, and help train users while maintaining audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 3 years' experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, import/export, transportation, or related regulations.
• Experience assessing data quality from supplier declarations, product master, and customs declarations.
• Experience reading and interpreting regulations for compliance.
• Experience qualifying products for USMCA, CAFTA, AUSFTA, or similar FTAs.
• Experience with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply regulatory requirements for USMCA and Buy America programs.
• Identify changes to requirements and share with team, manager, and business as appropriate.
• Solicit and manage supplier-provided origin data, FTA documentation, and HTS information to support trade compliance.
• Compile and analyze import/export data to identify duty refund opportunities.
• Classify products according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
• Support development of compliance strategies.
• Collaborate with logistics, sourcing, legal, and compliance teams to resolve data gaps and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Provide user training.
• Serve as business owner for system components and upgrades; identify improvement initiatives.
• Maintain records and audit trails for internal controls and inquiries.
