Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned trade compliance professional to manage HTSUS/ECCN classifications, AES/EEI filings, and export license reviews. You will review BOMs and drawings, conduct audits, and administer denied-party screening while supporting import clearance and regulatory reporting.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in complex manufacturing environments, strong Excel/SharePoint skills, and a track record of mitigating compliance risk in fast-paced settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on trade compliance experience in semiconductor, high-technology, electronics, capital equipment, aerospace, or other complex manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export compliance requirements.
• Experience with HTSUS/ECCN classification, AES/EEI filing, license reviews, screening, and regulatory recordkeeping.
• Experience reviewing technical product information and BOMs.
• Experience conducting import/export audits and corrective actions.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain HTSUS, Schedule B, ECCN, tariff, and license-determination reviews.
• Review technical specs, drawings, datasheets, and BOMs to support classification decisions.
• Conduct AES/EEI audits and maintain export documentation for U.S. shipping sites.
• Review shipment backlog and planned orders to identify export license requirements or compliance risks.
• Support import clearance by resolving broker and carrier inquiries related to classification, origin, documentation, and tariff applicability.
• Conduct import/export audits and recordkeeping reviews; administer denied-party screening.
• Support export license reviews, end-use/end-user diligence, and trade inquiries.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement new import/export requirements timely.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Procurement, Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations to resolve issues.
