Job summary

Amazon is seeking a transformational leader for its Threat Intelligence team in Herndon, VA. You will guide a global group of security engineers, PMs, and intel analysts to generate strategic insights, drive programs, and improve Amazon's security posture at scale across infrastructure, platforms, and customer-facing services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or commensurate work history.
• 15+ years of industry experience leading teams, driving technology, threat intelligence processes, methodologies, and tools.
• 15+ years of industry experience with threat intelligence methods, standards, processes, and lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Security Engineers, PMs, and Intel Analysts with strategic direction and tactical oversight.
• Maintain a prioritized roadmap to address gaps and improve practices.
• Communicate threats to leadership, customers, and partners in a consistent voice.
• Coordinate with service owners to assess threats and align controls across platforms and incidents.
• Establish and enforce terminology, reporting requirements, and automation for consistent analysis.
• Drive teamwork and collaboration across multiple groups within Amazon's security efforts.
• Negotiate remediation plans for large-scale issues across business units.
• Coordinate with partner security teams to track and report risks.
