Job summary

CSA Group has an immediate opportunity for a Principal Technical Lead for Electrical Appliances. The role provides senior technical leadership within the Technical Management Department, overseeing support across certification offices and network partners internationally.

The position requires expertise in electrical safety standards, mentoring, and global coordination to maintain high quality, accredited services and advanced training programs.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of relevant experience in the Electrical appliances area.
• Proven analytical skills and ability to interpret technical requirements.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides clear, timely technical guidance and solutions, interprets standards, and resolves disputes.
• Maintains SME knowledge by staying current and engaging with industry committees and literature.
• Builds and leverages a strong industry network to support CSA Group’s interests and growth.
• Mentors staff and acts as a technical expert in investigations related to product incidents.
• Establishes and maintains technical benchmarks and ensures global consistency in standards and practices.
• Delivers training and coaching to develop technical staff and training systems.
• Supports audits, accreditation, and strategic company initiatives.
• Travels globally as required to support certification activities.
