Job summary

CSA Group, a standards development and product certification organization, seeks an experienced Product Safety Engineer, Fueled Appliances in its Cleveland, OH office to advance its position as a leading certifier.

As part of the Product Group, you will manage safety certifications for new and advanced products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, review engineering documentation, and ensure compliance with national and international standards throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 6+ years of related experience or Diploma/Degree in Engineering Technology with 8+ years’ experience.
• Thorough knowledge of Standards and testing procedures.
• Knowledge of CSA and ANSI Standards and CSA certification options.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage certification projects concurrently ensuring compliance with safety requirements within time and budget.
• Review work of others and demonstrate competency in certification programs.
• Evaluate complex, unique product types for conformity to standards.
• Manage multiple projects with on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Review test data and authorize Certification Reports and Certificates of Compliance.
• Perform construction evaluation and ensure unit compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with Lab Technician to plan tests, order tests, and determine sample numbers.
