Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a Principal Engineer to act as a global technical authority for complex IC development. The role spans the full lifecycle from specification and customer engagement to design, verification, silicon validation, and production readiness.

You will lead critical blocks, drive architectural trade-offs, and mentor engineers to elevate engineering practices and roadmap direction while collaborating across development teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years of analog and/or mixed-signal IC design experience across full lifecycle.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration across global teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence schedules under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide global technical leadership, setting engineering direction across multiple programs.
• Lead end-to-end design execution from requirements through silicon validation and production readiness.
• Balance technical trade-offs for performance, power, area, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Ensure engineering excellence through reviews, documentation, and adherence to best practices.
• Drive verification, test, and validation strategies aligned with simulation and silicon results.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams worldwide across design, verification, test, validation, quality and applications.
