Job summary

Sycomp, a global IT services and logistics provider, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage compliant domestic and international air freight shipments for technology equipment across Burlingame and Union City warehouses.

You will prepare shipping documents, ensure trade compliance using ECW systems, coordinate with carriers, and track shipments to meet deadlines while handling multiple shipments simultaneously.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in shipping and transportation logistics (air freight).
• Experience shipping technology equipment.
• Understanding HS codes, VAT, customs documentation and compliance.
• Familiarity with ECW systems and trade compliance workflows.
• Knowledge of HS/Cierra codes (or similar).
• Ability to support a floating logistics role between Burlingame and Union City.
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong organizational skills.
• Self-motivated team player with proactive mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Process domestic and international air freight shipments, primarily technology and computer equipment.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation, including HS codes, ECCN, VAT, and customs paperwork
• Use ECW and related systems to ensure accurate shipment and trade compliance
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
• Support a floating role between Burlingame and Union City warehouses
• Pack, label, and move equipment (up to 75 lbs) for outbound shipments
• Track shipments, resolve delays, and handle time-sensitive shipping issues
• Manage multiple shipments simultaneously while meeting deadlines
