Job summary

UCSF Health, AG seeks a Research Data Analyst 3 to independently support data management and analysis for multiple projects, including the NIH-funded R2D2 TB Network. The role designs data collection tools, develops REDCap databases, and ensures data quality across international sites.

You will collaborate with investigators and biostatisticians, conduct statistical analyses, prepare tables and figures, and contribute to publications while balancing multiple priorities and ensuring data privacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in epidemiology, public health, or related area and 3 years of directly relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Human Subjects research training or ability to obtain in the first year of employment.
• Thorough knowledge of research function.
• Thorough skills associated with statistical analysis and systems programming.
• Thorough skills in analysis and consultation.
• Skills to communicate complex information clearly in writing and speaking.
• Knowledge of statistical programs STATA or R and REDCap is required for data accuracy and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support data management and analysis for multiple research projects.
• Design data collection instruments and REDCap databases.
• Develop data dictionaries and standard operating procedures.
• Oversee data collection, validation, cleaning, integration, and documentation.
• Train and support project staff.
• Monitor data quality and timeliness; resolve discrepancies with sites.
• Perform statistical analyses; prepare tables, figures, and reports.
• Contribute to abstracts, manuscripts, and scientific presentations.
• Manage competing priorities and communicate with multidisciplinary collaborators; ensure compliance with protocols and data privacy.
