Job summary

The Research Data Analyst 3 at UCSF will independently support data management and analysis for multiple research projects, including international sites and the R2D2 TB Network. The role involves designing data collection instruments, REDCap databases, data dictionaries, and SOPs, plus training staff and ensuring data quality.

In collaboration with investigators and biostatisticians, you will conduct analyses, interpret results, and prepare publications and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in epidemiology, public health, or related area; 3 years of directly relevant work experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data management tools; ability to work with REDCap and MS Excel.
• Experience with international collaborations and global health research is preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of data privacy and security requirements in research.

Responsibilities

• Design data collection instruments and REDCap databases.
• Develop data dictionaries and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Oversee data collection, validation, cleaning, integration, and documentation.
• Train and support project staff; monitor data quality and timeliness.
• Resolve data discrepancies with collaborating sites; communicate findings with investigators.
• Conduct statistical analyses with investigators and biostatisticians; prepare tables, figures, and reports.
