Job summary

Southwire Company is seeking a Vice President, Tax to lead global tax planning, compliance, and strategy in support of corporate objectives. The role requires senior leadership, mentorship of a tax team, and collaboration with the executive team and board.

The position oversees cross-border tax planning, audits, and tax governance, with responsibility for ensuring tax compliance, strategy execution, and effective communication with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or tax.
• CPA certification is required.
• 15+ years of corporate tax experience in a large organization.
• Experience with S-Corp, C-Corp and LLCs.
• Big 4 tax background strongly preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate tax concepts to non-tax leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead global tax strategy and structure to support corporate goals.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing tax team.
• Oversee income tax accounting and disclosures under GAAP.
• Direct tax compliance for all income and transaction taxes and payments.
• Coordinate with finance, legal, operations on tax issues.
• Engage external consultants for various tax projects.
