Job summary

Forward Air Corp. seeks a strategic Vice President, Tax to lead the global tax function, directing planning, compliance, reporting, and risk management. You will partner with executives across finance, legal, and operations to optimize tax positions in a complex public company environment.

The role requires deep technical tax expertise, leadership, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. This on-site position is primarily based in Dallas, with travel for key meetings and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field; CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience with leadership in a large, multi-entity org.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740, international taxation, and tax accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide tax strategy aligned with corporate objectives and financial goals.
• Oversee tax planning, compliance, reporting, and risk management across jurisdictions.
• Guide mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and complex transactions with senior leadership.
