Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead all aspects of HDR’s global income tax compliance, planning, reporting, audits, and input on tax strategy. You will coordinate with Treasury, Finance, Accounting and Legal, driving process improvements and maintaining global tax controls.

You will manage a small team of two, collaborate with external advisors, and oversee transfer pricing, M&A activities, and cross-border project tax implications for HDR’s worldwide operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of corporate tax or accounting experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of management experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Tax or Accounting.
• Knowledge of corporate income tax and related international tax topics.
• Knowledge of ASC 740 income tax provision topics.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage and partner with external tax firms for direct taxes and tax filings (US and non-US).
• Assist with annual global income tax provision and related accounting positions.
• Maintain internal database systems integrating with global tax provision software.
• Oversee monthly compliance and account reconciliation reviews.
• Supervise outside tax advisors on audits and country tax matters.
• Advise on transfer pricing, M&A activities, and legislative impacts.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, Accounting and Legal on tax forecasting and restructurings.
• Proactively manage income tax filing requirements and provide stakeholder reporting.
• Develop and improve Tax Department processes, tools and procedures.
