We at Coforge are hiring an Global Tax Operations Analyst with the following skillset:
Relief at Source
- Review client eligibility and documentation to support reduced withholding tax treatment at the time income is paid.
- Prepare, validate, and track market-specific tax forms, certifications, and supporting documentation required for relief at source processing.
- Monitor upcoming income events, market deadlines, and custodian requirements to ensure documentation is submitted timely and accurately.
- Support onboarding documentation to ensure clients are properly established for future tax relief opportunities.
- Respond to ad-hoc market-driven requests, urgent documentation escalations, and last-minute eligibility validations to help protect clients from negative tax impact.
- Partner with internal teams, custodians, and external clients to resolve documentation gaps, missing information, or tax service coding issues.
Reclaim Operations
- Review and validate reclaim eligibility after income payments have been made to recover excess withholding tax on behalf of clients.
- Prepare, submit, and monitor reclaim packages in accordance with market rules, custodian requirements, and statute of limitation deadlines.
- Coordinate with clients and business partners to obtain certificates of residency, tax forms, and other required supporting documentation.
- Track reclaim inventory through filing, payment, rejection, resubmission, or closure while maintaining accurate status updates and audit trail documentation.
- Research and resolve reclaim rejections by identifying root causes, coordinating corrective action, and escalating time-sensitive or high-value items as needed.
- Partner with custodians, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders to support payment validation, exception resolution, and client communication.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to review complex tax documentation and identify missing or inconsistent information.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, time-sensitive operational environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow up professionally with clients, business partners, and custodians.
- Understanding of global custody, withholding tax, ADR and ordinary securities, Double Taxation Treaties, or securities operations preferred.
- Ability to document work clearly, maintain accurate records, and support audit-ready processes.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify trends, elevate risks, and contribute to process improvements.
- Comfort working across systems, trackers, shared documentation repositories, and operational workflow tools.
