PwC is seeking a Tax Japanese Business Network Intern in New York to support our Tax practice with foundational tasks and learning opportunities in the global tax landscape.

In this role, you will assist in preparing corporate tax returns, analyze data for savings opportunities, and participate in international tax planning for entrepreneurial and private businesses. This internship emphasizes personal growth and collaboration with a skilled team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed Bachelor's in Accounting or related field.
• GPA at least 3.0 overall.
• Business level fluency in Japanese and English.
• Eligible to sit for CPA exam in intended state of employment.
• Intern/entry-level; typically third year of a 4-year program or fourth year of a 5-year program.

Responsibilities

• Supporting tax teams in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and compliance documents.
• Assisting in analysis of tax data to identify potential tax savings and compliance opportunities.
• Participating in international tax planning and multistate tax compliance projects.
• Engaging in tax research to provide accurate and up-to-date information on tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborating with team members to draft and prepare tax documents for clients.
• Contributing to the development of tax strategies that align with client goals and regulatory requirements.
• Observing and learning from experienced tax professionals to gain insights into tax consulting practices.
• Applying data analytics skills to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of tax reporting processes.
• Supporting the Japanese Business Network in delivering tailored tax services to entrepreneurial and private businesses.
• Demonstrating intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning about tax structures and policies.
