Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals seeks an experienced tax leader to oversee the global tax function, including income, indirect, property tax, and transfer pricing. You will align with executives to optimize tax strategies, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements while maximizing tax benefits across markets.

The role leads a high-performing team, mentors staff, and collaborates with Finance and external advisors to support growth and regulatory adherence globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation or Master’s degree in Taxation.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive corporate tax, accounting, or finance experience.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in senior-level finance or tax roles with direct people management responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of federal, international, and multi-state corporate income taxation.

Responsibilities

• Develop federal, state, and global tax planning strategies to minimize the tax rate.
• Oversee quarterly and annual tax accounting including ASC 740-10 and tax footnotes.
• Manage global tax returns, transfer pricing, and tax compliance.
• Lead international expansion and tax-efficient structures.
• Develop and defend R&D tax credit programs and incentives.
