Job summary

Medpace is seeking a seasoned Director, Tax to lead our global tax strategy and compliance. You will manage US and international tax affairs, oversee ASC 740 accounting and cooperation with external consultants, and drive tax planning initiatives to optimize obligations across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include leading tax accounting, reviewing returns, mentoring finance staff, and partnering with senior leadership to align tax with corporate goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus a CPA or Master’s degree.
• 14+ years of tax experience.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of federal tax compliance, federal tax accounting and provisions, tax analysis, and tax research.
• Knowledge of ONESOURCE Income Tax is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of US, State & Foreign ASC 740 tax accounting, including book vs. tax differences.
• Lead the review of foreign income tax returns and cross-border matters such as Pillar 2 and Transfer Pricing.
• Collaborate with Sr. Director of Tax, CFO and executives on Tax strategy and compliance.
• Oversee completion of federal and state income tax returns, including analysis and support.
• Perform in-depth tax research and evaluate interpretations of US tax code with professional judgment.
• Coach and educate Finance personnel and leadership on tax matters.
• Manage relationships with external consultants to ensure quality service.
• Identify and implement tax planning initiatives across jurisdictions.
