Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Tax Manager to join the Global Tax Calculation Services Program in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on configuring and maintaining Amazon's transaction tax calculation software and researching tax rules to ensure accurate taxability across jurisdictions.

Candidates should have 4+ years in tax or finance, strong Microsoft Office skills, and experience with transaction tax software such as Vertex. Large firm or multinational corporate tax experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
• Experience researching indirect tax issues including taxability of products and services.
• Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department.

Responsibilities

• Configuration and ongoing maintenance of Amazon's transaction tax calculation software.
• Researching transaction tax laws to create and maintain the tax rules within the transaction tax calculation software.
• Participating in projects throughout their lifecycle – from design through delivery – with an emphasis on testing to ensure that projects conform to the business requirements and rules.
• Communicating with sellers, customers, and Customer Service regarding the calculation of transaction taxes.
• Providing subject matter expertise to various business and IT organizations.
