Job summary

Buckingham Search seeks a hands-on Director of Tax to lead our global tax function in a fast-growing technology environment. This leader will own ASC 740, manage compliance across US and international jurisdictions, and partner with finance, legal, and leadership on strategic tax planning.

The role requires deep international and transfer pricing experience, strong leadership, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, PE-backed setting.

Qualifications

• CPA and/or advanced tax degree.
• 15+ years corporate tax experience.
• Experience in multinational or globally structured in-house tax environment.
• Big 4 or large regional firm experience preferred.
• Deep ASC 740 expertise, ownership of the tax provision.
• Experience with transfer pricing and U.S. international tax in a multi-entity environment.
• Experience with indirect tax, nexus and multi-jurisdiction compliance.
• Hands-on M&A tax experience spanning diligence, structuring and integration.

Responsibilities

• Own the quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision, including current and deferred taxes.
• Prepare tax-related financial statement and lender reporting; liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain tax account reconciliations and provision-to-return true-ups.
• Develop and maintain tax controls and documentation within the finance control environment.
• Oversee global tax compliance calendar across US and international jurisdictions.
• Manage external tax advisors; scope engagements and monitor costs.
• Lead tax audits, notices, inquiries, and regulator interactions.
• Advise on international tax structure, cross-border transactions, and transfer pricing.
