Dow seeks an Expert Tax Counsel to advise on tax planning, M&A, and related matters across the tax organization. You will support due diligence, reviews of transaction documents, and post‑closing integration, reporting to the Managing Counsel for Global Tax.

This role offers growth and responsibility across the enterprise. Located in Midland, MI, Houston, TX, or via virtual office in Chicago/Detroit areas, with opportunities to collaborate across Legal, M&A, and Finance teams.

Qualifications

• J.D. or U.S. law degree required with bar admission or eligibility.
• Minimum 5 years of substantive tax legal experience.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Advise on tax planning for M&A, restructurings, and joint ventures.
• Lead audit defense and tax controversy work at federal/state/local levels.
• Review and draft tax provisions in commercial agreements.
• Conduct research and draft memoranda on complex tax issues.
