Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an International Tax Attorney to join our Annapolis, MD office. The attorney will handle sophisticated inbound and outbound U.S. international tax matters, collaborating with colleagues and clients to deliver actionable cross-border solutions.

The role requires JD and 3+ years of international tax experience with strong research, writing, and communication skills. LL.M. in Taxation is preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. required; LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in international tax law.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with key international tax provisions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Interest in cross-border tax issues and international planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal and technical research on international tax matters.
• Prepare written analysis on CFCs, Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, and BEAT provisions.
• Advise on foreign tax credits and treaty interpretation.
• Assist in pre-immigration planning, expatriation, and residency issues.
• Report on foreign gifts, inheritances, and ownership interests.
• Support IRS streamlined procedures and offshore disclosures.
• Structure cross-border investments and transactions.
• Draft technical memoranda, client alerts, and advisory opinions.
• Develop client-facing materials and presentations.
• Collaborate on planning and compliance strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. international tax law.
