Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field
• 5+ years of experience in related role focusing on sustainability, CSR, environmental impact or philanthropy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Excellent communication, presentation, cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills
• Experience coordinating projects, events, timelines, vendors, and multi-stakeholder environments
• Authentic alignment with the Aveda mission

Responsibilities

• Research and identify leading-edge opportunities for sustainability and social impact at Aveda and prioritize initiatives across functions
• Maintain Aveda’s certifications and standards program; monitor global sustainability regulations and reporting requirements
• Drive partnerships and community relationships; manage nonprofit partners and Earth Month activation
• Collaborate with marketing to develop mission-driven stories around vegan, plant-powered products and sourcing claims
• Manage Aveda’s global philanthropic grant program including due diligence and donor-advised funds
• Serve as an information resource on sustainability across the company and support internal events and communications
• Monitor and track program impacts and results
