Job summary

Boom Supersonic is hiring a Global Supply Manager to own end-to-end sourcing for metals, machined parts, electrical systems, and supporting components. You will lead RFx processes, negotiate terms, and align supply with aggressive production ramp goals.

You will partner with engineering, manufacturing, and finance to shape commodity strategies, manage the supplier base, and drive risk mitigation while maintaining strong relationships across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development.
• Understanding of costing concepts, cost reduction, and modeling.
• Excellent data-driven decision making, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams to drive alignment and execute sourcing strategies.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end RFx cycle, identifying strong suppliers and issuing RFQs to manufacturing and supply partners.
• Analyze, evaluate responses, and conduct supplier capability assessments; negotiate terms and secure approvals.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to support NPI and scaling to production.
• Develop and execute commodity strategies to meet long-term supply chain objectives and inform executive decisions.
• Understand the supply base, fabrication/assembly processes, lead times, and global trends to enable proactive decisions.
• Evaluate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans for production Ramp.
• Own supplier relationships end-to-end with metrics, scorecards, and periodic reviews to maintain cost, quality, and delivery.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
• Manage master data in MRP and coordinate demand signals with supply.
