Job summary

Boom Technology, Inc. is seeking a procurement professional to source and manage suppliers for materials, components, and services. You will negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times, while performing cost analysis and ensuring best value across purchases.

You will coordinate with engineering, operations, and finance to align procurement strategy, manage POs through delivery, and drive cost reductions across spend categories. Strong ERP experience and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ERP system experience required.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Purchasing or supply chain experience, ideally in aerospace or manufacturing.
• Comfortable working in different purchasing systems and spreadsheets.
• Strong communicator — relay requirements and status between internal teams and suppliers.
• Detail-oriented with persistence to follow up until the job is done.

Responsibilities

• Source (RFQs/RFPs), evaluate, and select suppliers; negotiate pricing, lead times, terms.
• Perform cost analysis and comparison to ensure best value.
• Issue and manage purchase orders from creation through delivery and invoice resolution.
• Host and conduct supplier status calls for make-to-spec procurements.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and finance to understand material needs and align procurement strategy.
• Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities across spend categories.
• Manage supplier contracts and ensure compliance with terms; monitor performance.
• Resolve supply disruptions, shortages, and escalations quickly.
• Maintain records of transactions, POs, and receipts.
• Manage master data elements for suppliers and parts.
• Partner with engineering to own and maintain BOM and ensure each part has a plan.
• Help identify and implement purchasing process improvements.
