Job summary

Aeva is seeking a Global Supply Manager to drive strategic sourcing, supply base management, and continuity of supply for critical components in our advanced LiDAR systems. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to meet aggressive development and volume goals.

The role requires proactive leadership in supplier negotiations, risk assessments, and capacity planning. A strong background in high-tech supply chains and DFM/SC considerations is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in a Supply Chain, Commodity Management, or Sourcing role.
• Extensive direct experience managing sourcing and supply of technical components for high-tech or complex electro-mechanical products.
• Experience in Automotive or Consumer Electronics industries managing high-volume, high-quality component supply chains.
• Proven ability to independently develop commodity strategies and execute complex negotiations.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with cost modeling (TCO/Should-Cost).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and services critical to our technology.
• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers focusing on cost, quality, delivery, and technology roadmap alignment.
• Conduct comprehensive supplier risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
• Manage the full lifecycle of supplier relationships from initial selection to ongoing performance management and reviews.
• Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives (cost reduction, lead time, on-time delivery, quality).
• Act as the primary interface between Engineering/NPI teams and suppliers for new product introduction development and qualification.
• Work with Operations and Planning to develop capacity plans for long-term continuity of supply.
• Incorporate Design for Manufacturability and supply chain considerations into early product design phases.
• Establish, manage, and drive annual cost reduction targets and roadmaps.
