Job summary

CAIRE Inc. is seeking a Global Supply Demand Planner to align customer demand with executable supply, production, inventory and replenishment plans across global regions and facilities.

You will use ERP/MRP/DRP data and collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Finance, and Product Management to improve forecast accuracy and on-time execution. • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 4 years of demand and supply planning experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and analyze demand and supply information for S&OP and management decisions.
• Maintain forecasts in ERP and translate demand into supply, production, and replenishment needs.
• Monitor supply/demand by item, region, and facility using various data sources.
• Review forecast changes and collaborate with Sales to improve forecast accuracy.
• Develop inventory plans balancing service, working capital, and priorities.
• Identify shortages or excess inventory and coordinate corrective actions.
• Apply MRP/DRP to assess net requirements and replenishment timing across the network.
• Create and coordinate intercompany transfers and prioritize shipments.
• Validate delivery requirements and provide realistic supply availability.
• Analyze BOMs, usage, lead times, and material availability for builds and transitions.
• Partner with Purchasing and Manufacturing to review constraints and schedules.
• Support new products, phase-outs, and end-of-life planning with planning data.
• Govern planning master data and maintain system records.
• Produce recurring/ad hoc reports and dashboards for KPIs; drive improvements.

The Global Supply Demand Planner is responsible for aligning customer and forecasted demand with executable supply, production, inventory, and replenishment plans across global regions and facilities.

The role uses ERP/MRP/DRP data and cross-functional collaboration to improve forecast accuracy, product availability, inventory health, and on-time execution. Working closely with Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Finance, and Product Management, the planner identifies risks and imbalances, develops practical recommendations, and supports S&OP and day-to-day supply chain decisions.

• Prepare, maintain, and analyze demand and supply information for S&OP, sales alignment, operations reviews, and management decision-making.
• Maintain accurate forecasts in the ERP system and translate customer and forecasted demand into feasible supply, production, transfer, and replenishment requirements.
• Monitor supply and demand by item, product family, region, and facility using forecasts, open orders, on-hand inventory, in-transit supply, safety stock, lead times, open purchase orders, and work orders.
• Review forecast changes, demand trends, order patterns, and planning exceptions; coordinate with Sales and other stakeholders to validate assumptions and improve forecast accuracy.
• Develop and maintain inventory plans that balance customer service, working capital, safety stock, lead-time exposure, and business priorities.
• Identify shortages, excess or obsolete inventory, overstock and understock conditions, and material constraints; coordinate corrective actions and escalate unresolved risks with business impact and recommended options.
• Apply MRP and DRP principles to assess net requirements, replenishment timing, intercompany or interbranch transfers, and inventory positioning across the supply network.
• Create, review, and coordinate intercompany transfer requirements and shipment priorities to support regional demand while minimizing expedite cost and conflicting execution instructions.
• Validate delivery requirements and provide realistic supply availability or delivery commitments based on material, capacity, production, quality, and logistics conditions.
• Analyze bills of material, component usage, on-hand balances, open purchase orders, supplier lead times, and service demand to support final builds, product transitions, and material-availability decisions.
• Partner with Purchasing and Manufacturing to review raw-material constraints, production schedules, bottlenecks, and recovery plans.
• Support new product introductions, product changes, manufacturing transfers, phase-in/phase-out, and end-of-life planning, including forecast, inventory, material, and service-support considerations.
• Govern and maintain planning-related master data, including planning codes, item setup, sourcing or routing parameters, lead times, safety stock, and other MRP-relevant settings.
• Review order and transfer status, investigate planning or execution discrepancies, and coordinate with appropriate teams to align priorities and system records.
• Produce recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards for forecast performance, supply-demand balance, inventory exposure, lead-time compliance, constraints, backlog, and other planning KPIs.
• Create and improve analytical tools, standardized reports, work instructions, and automated processes that reduce manual effort and improve planning visibility and data consistency.
• Document planning processes and support required approvals, change control, internal controls, and audit readiness in accordance with company and regulated-industry requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and meetings, communicate risks and actions clearly, and follow through on agreed decisions and due dates.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, inventory management, procurement, or related supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, MRP, DRP, and S&OP processes.
• Experience using ERP and planning systems, including planning parameters, master data, order status, inventory, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze, reconcile, and present large data sets accurately.
• Experience with forecast analysis, inventory optimization, material-availability analysis, and supply chain performance reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and continuous-improvement skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across functions, regions, and time zones.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing demand, supply constraints, and business requirements.

Preferred Education and Experience

APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) and experience in a regulated or medical-device manufacturing environment are preferred.
