Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Counsel, Supply Chain, Trade, and Human Rights to serve as a legal advisor to the Global Supply Chain organization, including its Customs & Trade function. This role supports the delivery of medicines worldwide and works across the PDS Law team within the GDMCT.

Qualifications

• JD (or equivalent) and good standing bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• 8+ years of legal experience across law firms, in-house, or government roles.
• Experience in human rights, customs, international trade, or sanctions.
• Experience structuring and negotiating complex commercial transactions.
• Ability to advise and influence senior executives, including SVP and C-suite.
• Proven ability to lead across large, global organizations.

Responsibilities

• Advise Global Supply Chain on complex legal issues to enable urgent delivery of medicines.
• Advise on global trade matters including tariffs, sanctions, customs, and licensing.
• Advise on human rights due diligence and risk mitigation.
• Monitor evolving global trade and supply chain regulations and advise senior leadership.
• Draft and negotiate complex supply, logistics, and warehousing agreements.
• Advise on disruption, continuity, and crisis response affecting the network.
• Collaborate with Law & Policy to provide enterprise-wide legal support to GSC.
