Job summary

ZF Group in Farmington Hills, Michigan seeks a Supply Chain Planning Intern to start immediately and continue through the current academic term. Summer-only candidates may not be considered.

You will support allocation reporting and supply planning for global plants, analyze reports to inform decisions, and assist with mapping, documenting, and improving planning processes. Create standard work, training materials, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across logistics and operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field starting now.
• Expected graduation within 12–24 months.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Team-oriented in a multicultural environment.
• Interest in supply chain planning, logistics, manufacturing, or automotive operations.
• Self-motivated, organized and eager to learn in a fast-paced global setting.

Responsibilities

• Support allocation reporting and supply planning activities for global plants.
• Analyze supply chain and planning reports to inform decisions.
• Assist mapping, documenting, and improving planning processes.
• Create process documentation, standard work instructions, and training materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including inbound/outbound logistics, freight, and operations.
• Utilize Excel and other tools to analyze supplier delivery performance and customer requirements.
• Support digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain organization.
• Gain hands-on experience with a global team and understand supply/demand fluctuations.
