Job summary

The Senior Project Manager at BD leads supplier footprint optimization and complex transfer projects within the Pharmacy Automation segment, aligning procurement, operations, and engineering to drive cost competitiveness and resilience. You will coordinate across a global matrix organization, manage multiple workstreams, and ensure timely, within-scope delivery of strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Business or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading complex supply chain, sourcing, supplier transfer, or optimization projects in manufacturing.
• Proven track record managing supplier transfer and supply base optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supplier footprint optimization and supplier transfer projects aligned with category and sourcing strategies.
• Develop project roadmaps, implementation plans, milestones, governance structures, and success metrics.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities that improve cost competitiveness, supply continuity, supply chain resilience, and business growth.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and R&D.
• Serve as the central project leader, connecting stakeholders, facilitating decisions, resolving issues, and maintaining alignment throughout project execution.
• Manage supplier qualification, validation, onboarding, and operational readiness activities.
• Drive risk identification, mitigation planning, issue resolution, and escalation management.
• Communicate project progress, risks, milestones, timelines, and financial impacts to leadership and business stakeholders.
• Support supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, and onboarding activities in partnership with Procurement.
• Establish sustainable governance and performance management processes to ensure successful implementation and long-term supplier performance.
• Lead change management efforts and influence stakeholders across a global matrix organization.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
