Job summary

Xylem seeks a Supplier Quality Process Engineer to drive supplier quality from selection through product integration. You will engage in PFMEA, PPAP, 8D and audits to ensure materials meet specifications and customer needs, coordinating with Sourcing and Engineering.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, 3–5 years QA experience, Six Sigma knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office, Minitab and quality systems. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applied science or engineering required; advanced quality certifications preferred.
• Three to five years in Quality Assurance with consumer product manufacturer.
• Familiarity with ISO procedures and Quality Systems; experience with audits.

Responsibilities

• Perform product audits including material identification/verification & traceability.
• Define and manage in-process testing and inspection activities.
• Manage 8D Corrective Action for all quality inputs.
• Complete PPAP/ISIR for purchased parts.
• Conduct PFMEA to identify risks to product quality.
• Coordinate supplier audits and development activities.
• Create supplier development plans and monitor performance.
