Job summary

Celestica Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Technical Advisor in Global Supplier Quality to lead the GSQ team, drive quality excellence with suppliers, and support risk-based audits. You will mentor teams, implement robust quality processes, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver zero-defect supply chain outcomes.

The role requires extensive experience in manufacturing quality, auditing, and core tools; frequent travel is expected, up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and collaboration skills.
• Ability to effectively lead and manage multiple projects and teams.
• Practical knowledge of international industry quality standards including AS9000, ISO13485, IATF16949, FDA, VDA.
• Experience with electronic and mechanical assembly and a wide range of manufacturing processes.
• Extensive experience with conducting quality audits; Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• Advanced problem-solving using 8D, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Extensive knowledge of Core Quality Tools including APQP, FMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, SPC and Gage R&R.
• Understanding of GD&T and control of Key/Critical characteristics.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work remotely when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to GSQ team members.
• Monitor customer and Celestica requirements to ensure clear expectations with suppliers and sub-suppliers.
• Lead Quality Planning during new product introductions, flawless launches, transitions and changes; participate in supplier onboarding.
• Support risk-based Supplier Audit program with on-site or virtual audits.
• Develop and deploy robust Global Supplier Quality processes; document control and continual improvement.
• Report key issues, supplier performance and metrics to management.
• Collaborate with Celestica site representatives, Commodity Teams and Suppliers to drive root cause and corrective actions.
• Identify risks and supplier performance issues and drive Supplier Quality development to address systemic issues.
• Participate in Periodic Business Reviews with high impact/Preferred Suppliers; engage in supplier performance objectives.
• Facilitate education of suppliers on core quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, etc.).
