The role emphasizes travel to supplier sites (≈30–40%), a hybrid onsite/remote schedule, and applying ISO 9001, PFMEA, and SPC techniques to reduce defects and boost supplier development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of two years of experience in engineering, quality, and production environments.
• Experience related to supplier quality, supplier development, vendor quality, or vendor development functions is desirable.
• Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30–40% of the time to supplier sites, primarily within the United States, with limited travel to Mexico.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with four onsite days per week and one remote workday
• Experience with process simulation tools such as AutoCAD or Siemens Tecnomatix.
• Strong understanding of quality systems like ISO 9001 and PFMEA.
• Ability to analyze production data using statistical process control (SPC) methods.
• Green Belt certification or demonstrated problem-solving expertise - desired.

Responsibilities

• Drive supplier quality assurance strategies to ensure scalability and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance to maintain reliability and reduce non-conformities.
• Lead initiatives for innovative quality control methods, including digital inspection tools and advanced analytics.
• Share best practices and mentor suppliers on continuous improvement methodologies.
