Job summary

Spirax-Sarco Ltd. in Cary, IL, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure raw materials and outsourced components meet strict quality standards. You will audit suppliers, partner with Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing, and drive root-cause analysis for non-conformances.

You will evaluate supplier capability, establish incoming inspection criteria, and support regulatory compliance across REACH, RoHS, and TSCA. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5+ years of SQE experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of quality engineering with supplier quality focus in custom manufacturing.
• Proven experience with structured problem-solving (8D, 5-Why, DMAIC, Fishbone).
• Hands-on supplier and internal quality audits (ISO 9001/AS9100 or equivalent QMS).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and specs.
• Strong verbal and written communication with cross-functional influence.
• ASQ CSQP/CQA/CQE or Lean/Six Sigma certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute supplier audits (domestic and international).
• Evaluate supplier capability, quality management systems, and process controls.
• Maintain ASL metrics and manage supplier non-conformances (SCARs).
• Lead MRB disposition and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical quality issues.
• Support NPD with supplier readiness and specification alignment.
• Develop supplier risk mitigation for critical components.
