Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to ensure external suppliers deliver components that meet quality, safety, and performance standards.

You will focus on supplier selection, audits, re-evaluation, and continuous improvement across materials and fabrication processes. You will lead root-cause analyses for supplier nonconformances, review supplier documentation, and collaborate with engineering and sourcing on new product introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in quality engineering with at least 1 year in supplier quality.
• Experience with supplier audits and root cause investigations.
• Familiarity with FMEA, 8D, root cause analysis, and Six Sigma.
• Proficient reading of technical drawings and use of measurement/testing equipment.
• Experience with ISO-9001 quality management systems (QMS).
• ERP systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Select, evaluate, approve and monitor supplier performance.
• Conduct QMS and technical supplier audits to ensure compliance.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier issues.
• Review and disposition non-conforming materials from suppliers.
• Review and approve supplier quality documentation and manufacturing processes.
• Support incoming inspection and disposition of nonconforming materials.
• Collaborate with engineering and sourcing on new product introductions.
• Track supplier quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.
