Job summary

ARaymond is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure external and AR network suppliers meet quality, delivery, and compliance requirements. You will lead APQP/PPAP activities, drive supplier improvements, and manage nonconformances to prevent defects across launches and ongoing production.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in supplier quality within automotive manufacturing, with strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and quality core tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Quality, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related automotive manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001, automotive requirements, solar market requirements, and quality management systems expectations.
• Knowledge of quality core tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plan methodology.
• Experience leading supplier corrective actions, root cause analysis, containment, and permanent corrective action implementation.
• VDA 6.3 Auditor Certification (preferred).
• Experience auditing Stamping, Plating, Heat treatment, and Coating supplier processes is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, qualify, and develop suppliers to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements.
• Lead supplier APQP activities from feasibility to launch and drive supplier improvement plans to prevent defects from deviations.
• Review and approve PPAP or related quality documentation submitted to confirm quality commitments.
• Conduct supplier audits using VDA 6.3 process assessments to verify compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics to master.
• Lead containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities for supplier-related nonconformances using defined tools.
• Support engineering changes, supplier process changes, material changes, tooling changes, and transfer activities to identify and control quality risks.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve supplier quality issues and improve supply chain performance.
• Follow and share reports on supplier performance and quality trends.
• Ensure launch and serial production readiness with suppliers and AR teams.
• Other related duties as assigned.
