Job summary

The Federal Group USA in Bingham Farms, MI is seeking a Program Engineer – Metal Manufacturing to manage supplier-facing metal projects from sample development through production. You’ll review prints, audit factories, advise clients on methods and materials, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have a manufacturing engineering background, experience with PPAP/APQP, and willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with castings, forgings, or machined components is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Manage metal manufacturing projects from sample development through full production.
• Advise clients on manufacturing best practices—methods, materials, finishing options.
• Review new projects for technical feasibility and readiness.
• Ensure customer prints are complete and accurate; flag revisions.
• Review vendor RFQs and quotes for technical accuracy.
• Travel internationally for factory tours and audits with Sourcing.
