Indiana Wesleyan University is seeking a Coordinator of International Student Advising – Immigration Specialist to provide expert immigration advising for F-1 students and manage SEVIS records. You will act as a liaison between prospective students, enrollment teams, and U.S. government agencies.

The role requires DSO certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days, and in-depth knowledge of SEVIS/SEVP regulations. Remote work within the United States is allowed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• DSO certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Strong knowledge of SEVIS/SEVP regulations and F-1 visa requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex federal regulations.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive immigration advising to prospective and current F-1 students regarding visa regulations, procedures, and compliance.
• Issue Initial I-20s for newly admitted students seeking Change of Status or Consular interviews (F1).
• Facilitate SEVIS transfers for incoming students with compliance.
• Counsel students on visa application procedures and embassy interview preparation.
• Lead SEVIS registration processing at the start of each term; maintain SEVIS records.
